Efficient exhaust at the former – cleaner and fewer breaks
Sufficient exhaust quantities and the mechanical condition of the units have a decisive influence on the running characteristics of the machine.
Due to deposits in the ducts and on the precipitators, the exhaust quantities can be heavily reduced.
A capacity review including recording of pressure losses and visual inspection of important components such as precipitators and ventilators can localize problem spots and initiate countermeasures.
The overall capacity of the individual systems, including pressure losses of the individual system components, is collected in a database. Taking the visual inspection into account as well, an estimation of the system’s condition can be given. As a second step, checking the air distribution in the duct systems can be carried out so weak spots in the system are thus localized in a targeted fashion. Checking the capacities on the basis of design data can be the first step in a measurement program (part of the audit).
Customer benefits
• Highlighting maintenance and technological deficits of the press
and former exhaust
• Improved running characteristics can often be achieved through
optimization of the air distribution and targeted upkeep measures
• Through the know-how of a machine manufacturer, the latest insights
can be integrated into suggestions for solutions, e.g., maintenance
costs can be lowered through automatic cleaning systems
• The moisture input in a plant can often be minimized and thus the
building can be actively protected and the plant climate improved
