Increase in energy efficiency and machine efficiency
Optimal operation of vacuum systems in relation to the required vacuum heights at the individual suction points and the vacuum generation units (water ring pumps or compressors) has a decisive influence on machine operation (e.g., dry content and runnability) and the energy efficiency of the paper machine.
The current operation point is determined by measurements to obtain a basis for the vacuum system analysis. Therefore the vacuum levels, the air flow rates and the temperatures at different suction points are recorded. Thus the complete system ca be assessed and evaluated.
Visual inspection of the existing system (water separation, piping, vacuum generators, etc.), which is also included, highlights any further maintenance issues.
Based on these basic data, various suggestions for optimization or improvement are submitted.
Customer benefits
• Highlighting of technological and maintenance deficits in the overall
system
• Measures for optimization can often be indicated which have an ROI
of clearly less than two years (due to corresponding energy savings)
• As a provider of complete systems, recommendations are worked
in that involve other machine areas (integration of process water heating,
plant ventilation, etc.)
• Results are presentedspecific to the individual product and customer
requirements
