High quality measurement

Voith measuring specialists have the necessary experience and process know-how to carry out all mechanical and laser-optical measurements on rolls, drives, dewatering sections, frame parts and foundation rails. Misalignment on rolls can impair paper quality and cause vibrations on rolls and gearing. The correct alignment is therefore important for smooth, efficient operation of the machine and is a prerequisite for high paper quality.

Voith carries out customer-oriented alignment measurements using the 3D tachometer or the ROTALIGN Ultra. This involves surveying and logging the component concerned on the basis of an existing or newly defined reference line. If a misalignment is identified it is possible to discuss with the customer on site whether the alignment should be done immediately or during a separate shutdown. On completion of the work informative, readily comprehensible reports are compiled that document the improvements made. Thanks to Voith know-how the customer can therefore obtain the investigation and optimization from one source.
